Between 2010 and 2016, I made annual trip (accompanied by my wife and two children) to New York City. I recall that on our first trip, we were somewhat intimidated by the city, and so we decided to stay across the Hudson River in New Jersey. We took day trips back and forth across the George Washington Bridge. Our next trip we stayed at a small hotel on 10th Avenue in Hell's Kitchen. Subsequently, as we got used to the City, we became braver and stayed at a hotel right in Times Square. Our final trip, we stayed at an old but beautiful hotel on Madison Avenue, not far from Madison Square Park.
Over the course of these trips, I engaged in what I refer to as a visual survery of New York City, focusing on its buildings, its wide avenues and its people.
